I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received from Hunan's this evening.

I called this evening from work about 620 pm on Tuesday, February 12th. We asked to place an order for delivery. When our address was given, we were told they do not delivery past St. Pat. This statement makes no sense (since St. Patrick St. runs East and West and the restaurant is but a couple blocks from St. Patrick St). Keep in mind that Hunan advertises that they deliver and also lists the Delivery service on their take out menu. It is important to note that the deliver to address is but 10 minutes from the restaurant (just down St. Pat)..maybe 15 minutes if you hit the lights during rush hour.

After we figured out a way to pick up the food, I called Hunan's back and placed the order. When I asked if we could get the totals broken down for the 4 orders, I was told no, that would confuse the cooks. Okay, since everyone had their hearts set on Hunans, we continued on. The order was placed and a grand total given.

When WE delivered the food, it was found that two of the dinners were missing their rice. I called Hunan's back to let them know. I was put on hold and then told that yes..he didn't put in the rice. I was offered a credit for the rice on our next order/visit. After explaining that the rice is an important part of the dinner and would they please deliver the rice to us, I was told absolutely not. I was again told that we were outside of their delivery area and that it would take them 10 to 15 minutes to get there. At this I agreed and said that since this was their error and we had already paid for the meals, they should be willing to make this right buy delivering the missing rice. When told no again, I asked to talk to the manager. I was told that I was speaking with the manager. I asked for her name and was told Jessica. I then asked to speak to the owner. Jessica told me that she was the owner.

At this point I just confirmed that I understood her correctly and that they would not deliver to us the missing rice. I ended the call by telling Jessica that I would next contact the Rapid City Journal. She had no reply.
